Pleasant Bay School staff are eager to get the 2025-2026 school year started. We are so excited to welcome our students back and welcome those who are joining us for the first time. We are pleased to again offer free school supplies to our Grades Primary to 6 students this year.
Pleasant Bay School is a unique school where students in Grades Primary to 6 learn in the same space. Our school will continue to be a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where we focus on building community, student well-being and overall student success.
Parents and community also play an integral role in this rural based school. We encourage your voice on our School Advisory Council as we seek new ideas and outlooks. Our first meeting will be on Monday, September 22 , 2025, at 4:30 p.m. at Cape Breton Highlands Education Centre/Academy, or you can attend virtually if that is more convenient. Effective communication between school, parents, and community goes a long way to building relationships. Through school and SRCE alerts (emails and texts), Facebook, X, school website (pb.srce.ca) and monthly newsletters, it is our goal to keep everyone informed.
We would like to thank our SRCE Operations Department for their hard work in cleaning and preparing our school for opening day.
